## Crypto Firm Payeer Hit with Record €9.3M Fine for AML Failures in Lithuania

Lithuania has slapped cryptocurrency company Payeer with a record €9.3 million fine for a range of anti-money laundering (AML) failures, including breaches of international sanctions. 

The Lithuanian Financial Crime Investigation Service (FCIS) announced the penalty, highlighting it as the largest fine ever imposed by the FCIS for violations of international sanctions.
