Bitcoin Dips Below Key Level, Sparking Fears of $60,000 Correction

Bitcoin's price recently dipped below a crucial support level, the short-term holder realized price (STH-RP), raising concerns about a potential further decline towards $60,000. This level has acted as a strong support during the recent bull market, but breaking it could indicate a significant correction. The STH-RP is the aggregate cost basis of more speculative Bitcoin holders who have held their coins for 155 days or less. A drop to $60,000 would liquidate approximately $1.64 billion in long positions, according to CoinGlass data. Despite this recent downturn, some analysts remain optimistic about Bitcoin's long-term prospects, citing factors like the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs in the US and the Bitcoin halving, which could lead to a substantial upside rally in the future. Bitcoin's extended consolidation period could be setting the stage for a “massive upside rally”.
