Bitcoin Price Crash Concerns: Dormant Wallet Moves $1.6B, Fueling Volatility

A dormant Bitcoin wallet has been very active this week, moving 25,000 BTC ($1.6 billion) in six separate transactions, adding to concerns about a potential Bitcoin price crash. This large movement comes amidst a period of high uncertainty in the crypto market, with Bitcoin already having fallen below $65,000 this week. The wallet's transactions, according to Bitcoin Spend output Age Bands data, have sparked speculation of a selloff as the sentiment for upside wanes.
Further adding to the pressure is the upcoming expiration of $6.72 billion worth of Bitcoin options on June 28. With a put-call ratio of 0.52, the max pain point for Bitcoin is at $57,000, suggesting a potential further drop in price next week.
Additionally, U.S. GDP growth rate data on Thursday and the Fed's PCE inflation data on Friday could further impact the market. These economic releases, combined with the options expiry and the recent selling pressure from Bitcoin ETFs, could push Bitcoin price below $60,000 and even down to $57,000.
