This blistering rally has also propelled Dogecoin, the king of meme coins, to more than double in value over the week, with its YTD gains now at 336%. Dogecoin has flipped XRP and USD Coin to become the sixth-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

The surge is largely attributed to expectations surrounding an Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under President-elect Donald Trump.
