Mystery Surrounds the Death of Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Mastermind as Brazilian Judge Closes Case

A Brazilian federal judge, Silvio Gemaque, has officially ordered the dismissal of criminal charges against Johann Steynberg, the late CEO of the notorious bitcoin trading platform Mirror Trading International (MTI). This decision came after a police investigation validated reports confirming Steynberg's demise, with his death certificate now included in the case file.
Despite the confirmation of his death, skepticism arose among some victims of the MTI scheme. They questioned the authenticity of the reports, drawing parallels to the infamous case of convicted murderer Thabo Bester, suggesting that Steynberg might have faked his death. Reports indicated that Steynberg suffered from acute respiratory failure at the time of his passing.
