Spot Ethereum ETFs: Analyst Predicts Approval This Week, Market Buzzes

Nate Geraci, president of The ETF Institute, believes spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs will be approved this week, potentially causing a significant shift in the cryptocurrency market. Geraci's prediction follows his earlier statement that he'd be surprised if spot ETFs didn't get the green light before the end of June. He said there's no reason for delay. This prediction coincides with increased speculation about the launch of spot Ethereum ETFs, with Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas pushing the expected launch date to July 2 after recent SEC staff comments on S-1 filings. The approval of the 19b-4 forms last month brought Ether ETFs closer to trading. The SEC will now review updated S-1 registration statements, the final step before the funds become available. The anticipated arrival of spot Ethereum ETFs has generated significant excitement in the crypto market, with analysts previously predicting a potential 60% surge in Ether's price if approval follows the pattern seen with Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs. As of this writing, Ethereum is trading at $3,407.50, down 3% in the past 24 hours.
