Boeing
Boeing (NYSE: BA) stock fell 3.4% after a devastating air accident in South Korea involving a Boeing 737-800, which tragically claimed the lives of 179 people on Sunday when a passenger plane crash-landed at Muan International Airport.
Nvidia
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock dropped 1.5% as the US chipmaker prepares to launch its latest generation of compact computers for humanoid robots, known as Jetson Thor, in the first half of 2025.
Tesla
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) stock decreased 2.4%, impacted by higher US yields. UBS analysts anticipate the EV manufacturer will announce its Q4 2024 delivery numbers on January 2, forecasting approximately 510,000 units, reflecting a 5% year-over-year and 10% quarter-over-quarter increase.
Apple
Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) stock fell 1.1% after its Chinese rival Huawei reduced prices on a range of high-end devices, including mobile phones, over the weekend on one of China’s leading e-commerce platforms.
Coinbase
Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN) stock declined 2.1%, as the cryptocurrency exchange faced losses due to the downturn in Bitcoin, the world’s most popular digital currency.
American Airlines
In contrast, American Airlines (NASDAQ: AAL) stock rose 0.2% after Raymond James upgraded its stance on the carrier to "outperform" from "market perform", citing an attractive risk-reward ratio and improved revenue outlook following an early-December update.
