Surging Bitcoin Buy/Sell Ratio: Are Whales Driving the Market?

Bitcoin Price Update
The price of Bitcoin has recently cooled off, struggling to reach the $100,000 mark after an intense bullish run. Despite this, investor sentiment remains strong.
Bitcoin Taker Buy/Sell Ratio Is Rising — Impact On Price
On November 23, analyst Ali Martinez reported a notable increase in the taker buy/sell ratio for Bitcoin, indicating that traders are accumulating Bitcoin. This ratio measures the buy and sell volumes, and a value above 1 indicates bullish sentiment, suggesting that buyers are willing to pay higher prices.
When the ratio drops below 1, it signals bearish sentiment, meaning selling pressure exceeds buying pressure. Recent data shows that the taker buy/sell ratio has surged across major exchanges like Binance, where it spiked over 28.

This increase in buying activity could propel Bitcoin towards its $100,000 target, despite its current price hovering around $97,800, reflecting a 1.1% decline in the last 24 hours. However, Bitcoin is up nearly 8% for the week, showcasing strong performance overall.
Who Is Buying?
Martinez also pointed out that a significant group of whales—investors holding between 100 and 1,000 BTC—have been actively buying in the past few days. According to Santiment, these whales have acquired over 40,000 BTC (approximately $3.96 billion) in just four days. This buying pressure could be a bullish indicator for Bitcoin's price trajectory.
