Trezor Aims to Simplify Self-Custody with New Onboarding Service and Hardware Wallet

Trezor, a leading hardware cryptocurrency wallet firm, is tackling the usability hurdle of self-custody by launching Trezor Expert, a personalized onboarding service. This online session offers users one-on-one guidance from Trezor Expert specialists to ensure their self-custodial crypto wallet is set up securely and correctly. Trezor Expert costs $99 and is available on the Trezor website.

In addition to the onboarding service, Trezor has released the Trezor Safe 5, a new hardware wallet featuring enhanced security and user-friendly features such as a color touchscreen and haptic feedback. The Safe 5 also introduces a multi-share Shamir backup system using a 20-word seed phrase, offering improved security in case of private key loss.

Furthermore, Trezor is now offering Bitcoin-only versions of the Trezor Safe 3 and Safe 5, designed for Bitcoin maximalists who prefer a streamlined, Bitcoin-centric experience. These versions remove non-Bitcoin features and code while maintaining the same high security standards as their multi-cryptocurrency counterparts.

Trezor's CEO, Matej Zak, emphasized the importance of simplifying self-custody and providing users with the knowledge and tools to securely manage their own crypto assets.
