Trump's Crypto Fundraising Bonanza: $866,500 a Seat at Bitcoin 2024

Former President Trump is hosting a private fundraising event for his campaign at the upcoming Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville. Attendees will need deep pockets to attend this exclusive gathering.

According to an invitation reported by Bloomberg, a roundtable seat at the VIP reception will cost donors a whopping $844,600 and includes a photo with the Republican presidential nominee. Simply attending the reception and taking a photo with Trump will set donors back $60,000, or $100,000 per couple.

Trump's presence at the Bitcoin conference is a significant sign of his shift in attitude towards cryptocurrencies. Just a few years ago, he referred to Bitcoin as a "scam." Now, he and his running mate, Senator JD Vance of Ohio, have positioned themselves as the pro-crypto presidential ticket. In May, Trump promised to end the "hostility" crypto has faced from Biden regulators and Democrat lawmakers if elected. In June, he went even further, offering a strong endorsement of Bitcoin, claiming the cryptocurrency will help the U.S. become "energy dominant."

The Winklevoss twins, Cameron and Tyler, have already endorsed Trump and donated $1 million worth of Bitcoin each to his campaign. This high-profile support from major Bitcoin investors demonstrates the growing influence of the crypto community in the upcoming election.
