The Ultimate Crypto Treasure Hunt

Trading card manufacturer Cardsmiths has launched its latest Currency Series 5 set, featuring five cards redeemable for 1 full Bitcoin each—valued at over $100,000 per card at current prices. This release marks the company's largest-ever selection of crypto redemption cards, also including Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dogecoin.

How to Get Your Hands on These Cards

Currency Series 5 is available through select retailers and the Cardsmiths website, with boxes starting at just $37 for a 2-pack. Each pack contains 5 trading cards, and crypto redemption cards appear in approximately 1 out of every 96 packs.

Record-Breaking Demand

"Demand for Currency Series 5 has exceeded all prior releases. Interest has been both broader and deeper than with any previous Currency set," said Cardsmiths CEO Steven Loney. The series also introduces a non-redeemable 1/1 Bitcoin trading card as a premier collectible, featuring collaborations with artists like Gunship Revolution Studios, Jon McTavish, and street artist Mr. Brainwash.

Real Winners, Real Profits

Collectors have already turned modest investments into life-changing sums:

  • In February, a user found a Bitcoin redemption card in a $50 pack, netting over $100,000.
  • In August, a GameStop customer discovered a Bitcoin card worth ~$115,000 in a $13 pack.
  • Multiple GameStop patrons have shared similar success stories.

Payment and Future Plans

Supplies remain available, and BitPay integration allows purchases with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and USDC. Looking ahead, Loney confirmed that Currency Series 6 is in development, with more exciting launches on the horizon.
